IRES participated in the Africa 2016 Think Tanks Conference, organized in Marrakech on May 2-4, 2016, by the OCP Policy Centre, in partnership with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the University of Pennsylvania on the theme " building a sustainable and secure future for the people and institutions in Africa: Towards achieving sustainable Development Goals ".
During the conference, Mr. Said Moufti, Director of Research, presented a communication which highlighted the potential role of think tanks in Africa in lighting public policies particularly in connection with the implementation of the UN 2030 agenda, referring to the experience of IRES through its study programs that cover the three dimensions of sustainable development.
