The discussions focused mainly on the bilateral and multilateral aspects of trade cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China.
With regard to bilateral relations, after summarising the major historical events of Sino-Moroccan cooperation, the speakers explored possibilities for trade cooperation between the two countries, and in particular the issues of rebalancing the trade between Rabat and Beijing and transfer of know-how, in order to better support the transformation of the Moroccan economy.
In terms of multilateral relations, the discussion focused in particular on China’s action in Africa in line with the Royal Vision of the autonomous development of the African continent and in line with the Agenda 2063 of the African Union. Various aspects such as the China's current development projects on the African continent and the central place that the Kingdom of Morocco is called to occupy in relationships between China and Africa were addressed.
