Working visit of a high level delegation from CERN

A high-level delegation from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) was received at the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) on September 13, 2022.

After a presentation of IRES and CERN’s missions, this meeting was an opportunity to explore the possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions in order to deepen the reflection on the themes of common interest.

At the end of this working visit, the two parties agreed to organize a Study Day to discuss the opportunity for Morocco to join CERN as an associate member, following the example of emerging powers such as India, Israel and Turkey.
