Working visit to IRES by a high-level delegation from "Huawei Technologies"

A high-level delegation from “Huawei Technologies”, chaired by Mr. HOU Tao, Global Vice-President of the Chinese multinational, paid a working visit to the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) on October 05, 2021.

This meeting is part of the strategic dialogue initiated in 2018 between IRES and Chinese think tanks and operators, which aims to closely identify changes on an international scale, to decode the complexity of the world and to constitute a force of proposals, beneficial to the strategic interests of the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China.

After a presentation of the vocation, missions and mode of operation of IRES, as well as Huawei's field of activity, the discussions concerned, in particular, subjects related to digital transformation, digital sovereignty and decarbonization of the digital economy. Discussions also focused on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between IRES and Huawei with a view to deepening strategic and forward thinking on issues of common interest.
