Working visit of Mr. Carlos MONTEIRO REIS, Head of the United Nations Office for the Fight against Terrorism in Rabat

Mr. Carlos MONTEIRO REIS, Head of the United Nations Office for Combating Terrorism (UNOCT) in Rabat, accompanied by Mr. Cesar ALVAREZ, Director of curricula within this office dedicated to the training of African security forces in the fight against terrorism was received, on March 2, 2022, by the Director General of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES), Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOULINE.

In addition to the presentation of the missions of the IRES and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, this meeting was an opportunity to present the work of the Institute relating, in particular, to governance and security in Africa, the phenomenon of radicalization, the migration issue as well as the contribution of the Kingdom of Morocco to the international effort to fight terrorism. The possibilities of cooperation between IRES and UNCTAD were also discussed.
