The Director General of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies, Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOULINE, took part, by video-conference, on November 5, 2020, in the plenary session of the 9th Summit of Sino-African think tanks, organized on the sidelines of the 20th edition of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC).

His intervention highlighted the characteristics of the Covid-19 crisis and traced the transformations and disruptions that result from it. It then analyzed the challenges posed by the pandemic and its fallout in the African context and proposed some adjustments to be made to the China-Africa cooperation model in order to make it a lever for post-Covid recovery. It also highlighted the role of Morocco and its contribution to the success of Sino-African cooperation.
