IRES organized on October 16th, 2009, as part of the program study ““Climate Change: Impacts on Morocco and global adaptation options”, an international Meeting on “Climate change: challenges and adaptation prospects for Morocco”.

This Meeting, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who addressed a message to the participants read by the Sovereign’s adviser, Mr. Abdelaziz MEZIANE BELFKIH, has brought together representatives of major international institutions (World Meteorological Organization and Intergovernmental expert panel on Climate Change), high-level experts of meteorological services and climate research centers in different countries. It was also marked by the presence of some Moroccan figures, national experts and representatives of major socio-economic sectors in Morocco, concerned with the issue of climate change.
