The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies organized, on March 12, 2018, a brainstorming session to examine the issue of water in Morocco. Led by experts on water issues, this meeting follows on Climate Change’s study program which was initiated by the Institute since 2007.
The discussions highlighted the importance, for rational and sustainable water resource management and enhanced coordination between sectoral policies, to develop knowledge of the water issue, by implementing a reliable information system and and set-up control systems. Other aspects were discussed, including the policies implemented in the framework of water pollution control to fight, mainly, against industrial pollution, contributing largely to the degradation of the environment.
