IRES organized on February 24th, 2010, in partnership with the Institut de Prospective Economique du Monde Méditerranéen (IPEMED), a seminar on "the common values in the Mediterranean".

The question of values is reviewed as part of the IRES’ study program: "the social bond in Morocco" and " Global Competitiveness and the positioning of Morocco in the global system" The fact that Morocco have reached in October 2008, an advanced status in its relations with the European Union, rises, obviously, the question of regulatory convergence towards European regulations and the adaptation of the Moroccan system of values to the European system of values.

For IEPMED examining the question of values in the Mediterranean lies within the framework of the prospective program "the Mediterranean in 2030". This program aims at focusing on the vision that the institutions of studies and research of the Mediterranean countries hold about the region, in 2030, both in terms of growth and employment, ’environmental, food security, energy and transport issues.
