Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOULINE, Director General of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) was invited by the President of the Instituto para a Promoção da América Latina e Caraíbas (IPDAL), the Institute that represents the most important platform in Portugal for the political and economic dialogue on the Atlantic, to participate in the 7th "Strategic Triangle: Latin America - Europe - Africa" meeting which took place in Lisbon, Portugal, on 14 and 15 May 2018.

On this occasion, Mr. MOULINE made a communication during the session on strategic partnerships on May 14, 2018. After setting the important global weight of the triangle Latin America, Europe-Africa which can be expected to intensify in the future, he exposed the main geopolitical, economic, cultural and environmental challenges that this space must address in the medium and long term. Mr. MOULINE stressed the importance of laying the foundations for a renewed partnership between the three components of this triangle for the benefit of the social well-being of their citizens. Starting from Morocco's deep relations with Europe and Africa, he explained how Morocco could contribute to the success of this renewed partnership.
