The Strait of Gibraltar: issues, challenges and approaches of the actors
The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) organized on September 24 2018, an international conference on the theme "The Strait of Gibraltar: issues, challenges and approaches of the actors".
The conference was attended by Moroccan and foreign experts from the United Kingdom, Spain, France and the United States, it was focused on the geopolitical and security, economic, social, cultural and environmental challenges facing the Strait of Gibraltar, as a geostrategic space.
The participants at this conference highlighted the very promising future of the Strait of Gibraltar, hence the need for Morocco and Spain to benefit from their privileged geographical position which could constitute a real competitive lever and the base of their attractive power.
