The water Issue in Morocco in accordance with the NEXUS approach
The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies organized, on January 08, 2020, a seminar devoted to the presentation and discussion of the preliminary conclusions of the study relating to the water issue in Morocco in accordance with the Nexus "Agriculture- water-Energy-Ecosystems ".
During this meeting, which was attended by representatives of international organizations, the public and private sector, members of civil society as well as experts in the fields of water, energy and agriculture , the discussions highlighted the importance of a good understanding of the interconnections between the water, agriculture, energy and ecosystem sectors, of collective ownership of water-related issues and strengthening coordination between the different NEXUS stakeholders. They have resulted in the proposal of innovative ideas able to provide substantive responses to the challenges linked to the rational management of national water resources.
