What levers of strengthening relations between morocco and the countries of southern and eastern Africa ?

IRES organized on 27 April 2015, a seminar dedicated to the discussion of the preliminary findings of the study entitled "What levers of strengthening relations between Morocco and the countries of Southern and Eastern Africa ? ", to which took part a panel including diplomats, public and academic experts.

This seminar stressed Morocco's relations with countries of these two regions and their prospects in the light of the issues and challenges of the regional and international context and Morocco’s foreign policy priorities. Discussions focused, among others, on the strategic levers that can improve the positioning of Morocco in Southern and Eastern Africa and the necessary accompanying measures in terms of deployment of the Moroccan diplomatic network in this part of the continent , the use of a proactive communication policy on Morocco's image and the involvement of non-state actors as an important relay of cooperation.
