- Conference animated by the Director General of IRES at HEC Paris.
Mr. Mohammed Tawfik Mouline, Director General of the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES), led a conference on January 27, 2025, organized by HEC Paris and the HEC Morocco Association, as part of their series of debates entitled "Morocco in Motion."
Held under the theme "Architectures of Sustainable Governance - Forging a sovereign, competitive and cohesive future for Morocco by 2040," this meeting brought together Moroccan and international students around an in-depth reflection on the strategic issues of the Kingdom.
The conference focused on four major axes:
- Geopolitical sovereignty, highlighting regional integration through the African Continental Free Trade Area, the realization of the Royal Initiative for the Atlantic Africa, as well as the strengthening of the Atlantic identity of Morocco and the diversification of the Kingdom's strategic alliances.
- Economic sovereignty, exploring ways to consolidate strategic value chains and improve Morocco's food security.
- Sustainable management of natural resources, addressing the challenges related to water sovereignty, the development of green hydrogen and the promotion of the blue economy.
- Digital transition and artificial intelligence, proposing mechanisms to accelerate Morocco's digital transformation and promote technological innovation in the service of inclusive growth.
The conference concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session on a resilient, competitive and future-oriented Morocco.
