IRES took part in the COP 21 held in Paris through a side event hosted by the Director General of the Institute, Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOUILINE, December 2, 2015, on the theme: What strategic vision of Morocco on adaptation to climate change?

This side event, attended by representatives of foreign delegations of countries of Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the GCC, highlighted the global issue of climate change and its place within IRES’ study program, Morocco's vulnerability to this global phenomenon as well as the vision of IRES as to the adaptation of the Kingdom to climate change. As part of this vision, it appears essential to review Morocco's development model, to set up an adequate system of risk anticipation and management of climate-related crises and to lay the foundations for governance and appropriate diplomacy in the field of environment.
