Morocco advanced status with the European Union : opportunities and stakes

On the occasion of the 8th meeting of the IRES’ Steering Committee, held on December 4th, 2009, Mr. Taieb FASSI FIHRI, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, made a presentation on "The advanced status Morocco- European Union : opportunities and stakes ".

In his presentation the Minister stressed on the importance of the advanced status as a new stage in the relationship between Morocco and the European Union. He outlined that this new relational framework certainly offers the opportunity to pursue the process of economic, political and social modernization followed by the Kingdom, but also created new challenges and required sophisticated developments at all levels.
