IRES organized on January 8th, 2009, a study day facilitated by Mr. Zuhair Chorfi, Director of Treasury and External Finances in Ministry of Economy and Finance.

During this study day, Mr. Zouhair CHORFI examined the process of cooperation between Morocco and European Union from the early 1960s financial protocols up to the attainment of the advanced status in October 2008.

A thorough review of stakes and challenges of the advanced status was conducted. It has highlighted, inter alia, the importance of strengthening the adaptations capacities of different national actors. It aims in so doing was to appropriate and pass different reforms contained in the roadmap of the advanced status.
