Relations between Morocco and Mauritania : results and prospects
IRES organized on December 11th, 2014, a seminar dedicated to the discussion of the preliminary conclusions of the study entitled "Relations between Morocco and Mauritania : results and prospects", which was attended by diplomats, representatives of the public and private sector and academic experts.
The seminar highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of relations between Morocco and Mauritania in their political, diplomatic, economic and socio-cultural dimensions as well as on the required levers so as to establish these relations on a strong and sustainable foundation.
Other aspects have been thoroughly discussed, including the importance to insert the cooperation between the two countries within a regional perspective, the opportunity to promote a cooperative approach based upon renewed partnerships between economic operators as well as the need to encourage greater involvement of civil society and intellectual elites from both countries.
