  • Strategic issues and the High Security Council : some preliminary thoughts

As part of its Strategic Watch mission and its Study program "Global Competitiveness and Morocco’s positioning in the globalized system", IRES has organized on November 16th, 2011, a study day on the theme " Strategic issues and the High Council of Security : some preliminary thoughts. The subject matter of this event is consistent with the holistic and multidimensional approach adopted by IRES, which has always favored the incorporation of security dimension as background to strategic analysis conducted by the Institute, with an emphasis given to issues related to economic security, health security, food security and energy security. Facilitated by Mr. Noureddine Sefiani, former Ambassador of Morocco, in presence of a panel of diplomats and experts in security issues, this study day was an opportunity to discuss stakes and challenges facing Morocco on the security level at large and to review some relevant foreign experiences in this area.
