The Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) actively participated in the work of the 11th edition of the Arab Forum for Thought and Culture, which chose the theme "Tolerance and Peaceful Coexistence".

This edition was organized in Abu Dhabi on March 9, 2023, under the High Patronage and with the participation of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, by the Emirati Journalists Association, in partnership with the Office of the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research and the General Secretariat of the Coalition of Arab Research and Culture Centers.

The communication of the Director General of IRES, Mr. Mohammed Tawfik MOULINE, focused mainly on the presentation of the Moroccan model of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, which under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, saw the adoption of the 2011 constitution and the implementation of a series of reforms aimed, in particular, at restructuring the religious field and combating extremism, protecting human rights and minorities, as well as inter-religious and intercultural dialogue.

Referring to the Moroccan experience, proposals were formulated with a view to making tolerance, in the Arab world, a central value of the nation and a political and ethical culture that governs the strategic orientations of state institutions and frames decision-making.
