What contribution of human capital to Morocco’s competitiveness ?
As part of its study program "Global competitiveness and the positioning of Morocco in the globalized system", the IRES organized on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 9:00 am, a seminar on "What contribution of human capital to Morocco’s competitiveness ?". This seminar, led by a panel of national experts, was divided into two sessions, dealing respectively with the strengths and weaknesses of human capital in Morocco and the prospects of developing this capital within the framework of future developments in light of competitive order following the world crisis and the new sectorial choices made by Morocco. This scientific event was an opportunity to examine in depth the performance of the education and vocational training system in the country and its ability to produce the necessary human resources that will help the productive sectors in facing the challenges of competitiveness. Several other aspects of the issue of human capital in Morocco were discussed, including, to mention but a few, the different actors’ role in the success of reform in this area, and the interdependencies between economic, social and institutional matters and the territorialisation of public policies dedicated to the issue of human capital in view of advanced regionalization.
